However, NAHB reports that as the economy becomes stronger, rates have the potential to become higher and they project in 2017 rates may average 4.5% and 5.3% in 2018. Zions Bank, on January 13, 2017, reported 4.25% with a 4.40% APR–this seems comparable to what NAHB indicates will be a year long trend.

Following the NAHB, once again, industry insight suggests homes with amenities over sheer size are most preferred with new home buyers. Furthermore, NAHB reports Millennials are entering the home buying culture and gravitating toward amenities rather than size.
